| About El Jardin |
| Vision Our goal for El Jardin is to revitalized this marvelous piece of property into a eco-friendly, sustainable haven for folks to escape to in these very busy and stressful times. We are committed to working with the Yelapan pueblo so that together we can work toward an integrated and resourceful community. |
| Activities The waterfalls might be on your list or for the truly adventurous, a para glide off the top of the mountain might be more your style. After a hard day spent in paradise, you could have a massage from the capable and loving hands of either of our local masseuses, Beverly, or Kate, while literally watching the dazzling ocean under coconut palms. The snorkeling is amazing at our own front door or you might want to take the kayaks out for a spin. Maybe lying in the hammock is more what you are looking for or perhaps enjoying the local cuisine (including the famous home-made pies available daily), Day trips by boat to the Marietas Islands, where you can see a number of birds, including the Blue-Footed Boobies or whale watching trips can be arranged. If you want to be pampered, two hotels in Yelapa (Lagunita and Verana) have luxury spas. |

El Jardin is an eco-retreat with a communal living area. The communal area is open any time, where guests can mingle, relax, read, dine, lay in a hammock or play one of the many games provided. The kitchen is available for all guests to use and has space for food storage(fridge and freezer). As a communal space, it is important to treat the kitchen with care and clean up as you go. There are rules and recycling guidelines on-site and the manager will introduce you to the kitchen/communal space at the start of your visit. By keeping the spaces clean, we are able to keep our labor costs at a minimum so as to keep our rental rates lower. Plus, a communal experience is a great way to meet people and learn more about eco-communal living. Or, we have a great local cook that is available for hire if you would like her to clean or cook for you. Because of this unique property, we are trying to promote low-impact activities in order to reduce El Jardin's carbon footprint. Our casas are a "labor of love". We have worked hard to get the casas to the state they are in and continue to work to make improvements to make them better and more comfortable for you. |
